Brockholes Visitor Centre

A competition proposal for a visitor centre which draws inspiration from the nature reserve and its inhabitants.

Moorhens’ nests perched at the waters edge inform the building’s structure which is supported on inclined columns - elevating it and mirroring the reeded landscape below. The design proposes an environmentally sustainable resource base with spectacular views for observing wildlife.
